Submit your original research, case series, case reports and e-posters for the premier otolaryngology conference in South India. Awards across multiple categories for postgraduate and consultant delegates.

South Zone Postgraduate Awards

Open to PG delegates from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Puducherry.

PG Paper Presentation Guidelines

A. Abstract Submission

  1. The presenting author must complete conference registration before submitting an abstract.
  2. Include the following details:
    Title of Abstract · Presenter's Name · Email · Mobile · Institution · State · AOI Membership (if applicable) · Award Category
  3. Case Series / Original Research – structured as:
    Title · Background · Materials & Methods · Results · Conclusion
  4. Case Report – structured as:
    Title · Background · Case Report · Discussion · Conclusion
  5. Word Limits:
    300Original Research
    250Case Series
    150Case Report
  6. Format: Times New Roman, 12pt, double spacing, English. No tables, figures, photos or videos.
  7. Only online submissions through the conference website will be accepted.
  8. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept, reject or reassign abstracts to an appropriate category.
  9. For postgraduate awards, a scanned copy of the Bonafide certificate from the Head of the Department should be submitted. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

Judging Criteria

Scientific Merit · Originality · Clinical Relevance · Methodology · Quality of Presentation · Time Management · Interaction with Judges

Presenters must report to the respective hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled session. The decision of the Scientific Committee and Judges shall be final and binding.

E-Poster Presentation Guidelines

A. Abstract Submission

  • Structured abstract: Title · Background · Materials & Methods · Results · Conclusion
  • Word Limits: 250 words (Case Series) · 150 words (Case Report)
  • Submit in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) only.
  • Embedded images, videos and tables are not permitted in the abstract.
  • Submit through the official conference website before the deadline.

B. Final E-Poster

  • Single-slide PowerPoint in Landscape (16:9).
  • Include: Title · Presenter Name · AOI Registration Number · Passport-size photo.
  • Do not include: Institution, Department, Guide's Name, Hospital Logo.
  • Sections: Introduction · Objectives · Methods · Results · Discussion · Conclusion · References.
  • Images & illustrations: high resolution, properly labelled.
  • Evaluated on: scientific content, originality, visual presentation & educational value.

Consultant Detailed Guidelines

Original Papers / Case Reports

  • Structured abstract: Title · Background · Materials & Methods · Results · Conclusion (Original Paper) or Background · Case Report · Conclusion (Case Report).
  • Word Limit: 250 words (Original) / 150 words (Case Report).
  • Final Presentation: 8+2 minutes.
  • No identifying information in slides.
  • Judging: Scientific value, podium presentation, interaction with judges.

Innovation in ENT & Head & Neck Surgery

  • Structured abstract: Problem statement · Innovative solution/technique · Conclusion.
  • Word Limit: 150 words.
  • Final Presentation: 7+2 minutes.
  • No identifying information in slides.
  • Judging: Innovative value, podium presentation, interaction with judges.

Best Video Presentation

  • Structured abstract: Why this video · Description of procedure · Conclusion.
  • Word Limit: 150 words.
  • Final Presentation: 5+1 minutes.
  • Video file in MP4 format with embedded audio.
  • No identifying information in video.
  • Judging: Scientific value, video quality, presentation, audio integration.

General Notes

  • Registration is mandatory for all presenters.
  • Abstract should not have been published or presented elsewhere.
  • Valid email address required for communication.
  • Carry presentations on a pen drive on the day of presentation.
  • Scientific committee's decision is final.
